About the event

What is the VACB Annual Convention?

The VACB Annual Convention & Trade Show is the Virginia Association of Community Banks' flagship event, now in its 49th year. It brings the CEOs, presidents and directors of Virginia's community banks together with the association's associate members for two business sessions, a trade show, and the networking that fills the rest of the schedule.

The 2026 convention runs October 4 to 6 at the Boar's Head Inn in Charlottesville, with an Oktoberfest theme honoring VACB Chair Lisa Kilgour of MainStreet Bank. Monday's business session covers the economic outlook, fraud and stablecoins; Tuesday brings the ICBA update from chairman-elect Mike Burke and a session on AI and community banks.

Aloan has a table in the trade show for the Sunday reception and Monday breakfast. If you run a Virginia community bank, bring a real commercial deal packet (tax returns, financials, bank statements) and we will run it through Aloan at the table, from document intake to a credit memo where every number cites its source page.

Hotel: The VACB room block at the Boar's Head Inn ($209 single or double) closed September 9, 2026. Book directly with the resort at 844-611-8066.
